A native of Wilkes County, NC, Tony Joines grew up on a steady diet of Doc Watson and cherishes a memory of performing with Doc onstage. Tony's talent on numerous bluegrass instruments led him to be a part of several local bands including Back Porch Bluegrass and The Bank Notes over the years. He joins The Grassifieds on bass in 2022 upon the retirement of long-time member Pete Wright. In addition to his exceptional timing, Tony brings an infectious and entertaining enthusiasm for the music and we're thrilled to have him!
